Lunch date – the winter lunches will begin Tuesday, October 29th – 12:30 at the Tuxedo Village Restaurant.  If you plan to attend please let Pauline Gale know by Sunday, October 27 so a reservation can be made.
AGM & Wind-Up date – the Tuxedo LBC AGM will be held Saturday, November 9th at 1:30pm.  Prior to the meeting at 1pm we will serve pizza & wine (or beer) at no charge (in lieu of prize monies).  If you plan to come for pizza please answer this email by Wednesday, November 6th, including your preferred topping (max. 2 toppings).
At the AGM you will elect our 2019/20 Executive. Please contact our Past President  – Ed Mulholland – if you are willing to serve on the Executive or wish to nominate a member for a position.
Christmas Party – the party will be held Saturday, December 7th at 5:30 pm.  It’s a Pot Luck, as before. We will require one turkey and one ham to be cooked – with reimbursement from the club.  A sign-up sheet will be at the AGM or let Sandra know what you will bring if you plan to attend.  Please consider volunteering to be part of the Christmas Party Committee – we need some new blood involved – and will ask for volunteers at the AGM.  If you cannot attend the AGM but are prepared to help with the Christmas Committee please answer this email.

Tuxedo Hosts Open Pairs and Tom Moore Tournaments

Friday evening marks the beginning of another competitive/fun bowls weekend @ Tuxedo. The club will host the Manitoba Open Pairs as well as the 1st and 2nd yr bowler event, the Tom Moore. It is too late to enter a team but you can come and lend a hand, or simply find a comfy seat and take in some good Manitoba bowls. The draw times are, 9:45, 1:15, and 6:45. See you at the club!

Manitoba Champions

Congratulations go to our own Brenda Frank (skip) who competed on the weekend in the Provincial Senior Triples competition and was undefeated in six games!
Together with her teammates Donna Gobeil and Barbara Heinrich, they will represent Manitoba in the National Senior Championships in Montreal in September.
Way to go, Brenda!

Manitoba Champions

mbwfours19.pngCongratulations to Tuxedo’s Sandra Mulholland and her teammates Betty Grundy, Elaine Jones, and Betty VanWalleghem – they are the Manitoba Women’s Fours Champions. These ladies will represent Manitoba at the upcoming Canadian Championships in Brampton Ontario. Well done, and good luck!

Manitoba Championships

This weekend Tuxedo will host two provincial championships beginning this evening. Vying for the chance to represent Manitoba at the Canadian Championships will be teams representing the women’s fours, and the men’s pairs. Tonight’s draw begins at 7 pm., followed by the usual Sat/Sun schedule of 08:30, 1:00, and 7.  C’mon out and support your club mates and enjoy some great bowls. See you at the green!
