Congratulations to to Barb Heinrichs, Donna Gobeil, and Tuxedo’s Brenda Frank (skip) – these ladies earned a bronze medal for Manitoba at the recently contested Canadian Seniors Championships in Montreal, Que. Way to go ladies!!!!
Congratulations to the Manitoba women’s fours team of Betty VanWalleghem, Elaine Jones, Betty Grundy, and Tuxedo member/leader Sandra Mulholland. These ladies fought hard against a very tough women’s fours field at the national championships in Burlington, Ontario and brought home a bronze medal for their efforts. Way to go team!
Congratulations to Tuxedo members Alan Curd and Ed Mulholland (skip) who won the Association Open Pairs competition held at our club this weekend. They won all 6 of their round robin games and were the only undefeated team!
2018 Open Participants
Friday evening marks the beginning of another competitive/fun bowls weekend @ Tuxedo. The club will host the Manitoba Open Pairs as well as the 1st and 2nd yr bowler event, the Tom Moore. It is too late to enter a team but you can come and lend a hand, or simply find a comfy seat and take in some good Manitoba bowls. The draw times are, 9:45, 1:15, and 6:45. See you at the club!

This weekend Tuxedo will host two provincial championships beginning this evening. Vying for the chance to represent Manitoba at the Canadian Championships will be teams representing the women’s fours, and the men’s pairs. Tonight’s draw begins at 7 pm., followed by the usual Sat/Sun schedule of 08:30, 1:00, and 7. C’mon out and support your club mates and enjoy some great bowls. See you at the green!
