These ladies will represent Manitoba at the upcoming Canadian Championships in Brampton Ontario. Well done, and good luck!

Tuxedo Twosome Triumphs

Congratulations to Tuxedo members Ed Mulholland and Brenda Frank – they are the 2018 Manitoba Mixed Pairs Champions. Way to go!  Ed and Brenda will now bowl on and compete for a national title at Qualicum Beach LBC in British Columbia, Sep 11 – 15, 2018. TLBC’s Championship Weekend

Congratulations also to member Jerome Kirby – he is the 2018 Manitoba Men’s Singles Champion. Bravo! Many thanks to the family of dedicated members/volunteers of our fine club. Tuxedo put on a great event which featured a much improved playing surface. Three cheers for Tuxedo!!

Congratulations Brian!

brianwinA.jpgCongratulations to Brian Kullman – he is the 2018 Manitoba Indoor Singles Champion. This is Brian’s second provincial win of the season, coming just a week after his victory in the men’s fours. Brian’s successes will see him travel to Regina, and Vancouver to do battle against our nations best. We wish him the very best in his quest for a national bowls title.

Maurice Van Walleghem Recognised

On Saturday Oct, 07 long time Tuxedo member Maurice Van Walleghem will be honoured by Bowls Manitoba and will receive an award in recognition of his enduring commitment and contribution to bowls in Manitoba. Morris, as he is known, has long been a champion of junior bowls and is famous for his annual  fundraising corn roasts. Maurice can be proud of his playing record as well, having won many provincial championships including the men’s fours event upward of 15 times. Manitoba is proud of Maurice and his exemplary record of support and achievement. Many thanks go out to his lovely wife Cecile who is equally loved in our bowls community. Bravo!

Canadian Senior Triples Championships

The Canadian Senior Triples Championships get under way this morning in Peterborough, Ontario. On the men’s side, Tuxedo members Ed Mulholland and Brian Kullman along with Phil Clark of St John’s LBC will represent Manitoba.  Tuxedo member Marilyn Baron and her teammates Clarice Fitzpatrick and Sharon Lozinski make up the ladies team. You can follow thier progress at this link. Go Team Manitoba!
